3 | 校長致辭 Rector’s Message 回首4 5 載春秋，澳門大學如 一棵紮根澳門沃土的參天 大樹，枝繁葉茂，碩果累累。值此建 校45周年之際，我謹代表全校師 生，向長期關心與支持澳大的各界 人士致以最誠摯的謝意！從1981 年東亞大學創校，到1991年更名 為澳門大學，澳大一路與澳門同 呼吸、共命運，見證並參與了澳門 回歸祖國的歷史時刻。在國家與 特區政府的支持下，2014年澳大 遷入橫琴新校園，迎來跨越式發 展。2024年12月，正值澳大橫琴校 區啟用10周年，國家教育部批准澳 大在橫琴粵澳深度合作區籌建新 校區，為澳大開啟更廣闊的未來。 作為首家在橫琴合作區開展延伸 辦學並設立校區的澳門高校，澳大 跨境教學正在有序開展，澳大合作 區校區建設穩步推進。 45年來，澳大一直在澳門高等教育 發展進程中擔當重要的角色。在國 家和特區政府的長期支持下，澳大 形成了「特區大學、特殊使命、特別 地位、特色辦學」的突出優勢，不斷 鞏固以中華文化為主流、多元文化 共存的校園環境，協同學院與書院 的全人教育體系以及國際化的辦學 模式等自身特色。近年，澳大的辦學 規模不斷擴大、研究實力持續增強、 辦學水準不斷提高、國際聲譽實現 顯著提升，對高水平人才的吸引力 正在不斷增強。當前，澳大共有16 個學科躋身ESI 全球前1%，THE世 界大學排名躍升至145，進入全球 150強。澳大也是「中國大學校長 聯誼會」（C9聯盟+）的成員之一， 致力與國內外一流大學加強合作， 不斷提升澳大的國際化特色與辦 學水準。 45年風雨兼程，澳大培養眾多具家 國情懷、國際視野、全球競爭力和 有社會責任感的棟樑之才，以卓越 成就回饋社會，為澳門繁榮與國家 發展貢獻心力。回望來路，澳大如 一棵參天大樹，紮根澳門沃土，與 社會共成長；面向未來，這棵大樹 必將根深葉茂，枝繁果碩，續寫教 育與時代共進的輝煌！ 澳門大學校長 宋永華教授 Prof Yonghua Song Rector of the University of Macau 校長致辭 Rector’s Message
校長致辭 Rector’s Message | 4 As we reflect on the remarkable journey of the past 45 years, the University of Macau (UM) stands as a symbol of growth and achievement, flourishing in the fertile soil of Macao. On the occasion of UM’s 45th anniversary, I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude, on behalf of our faculty and students, to the Macao community for its enduring care and support. Since its founding as the University of East Asia in 1981 and its transformation to the University of Macau in 1991, UM has grown alongside Macao through many defining moments, including the historic return of Macao to the motherland. With the strong support of the central government and the Macao SAR government, UM relocated to its Hengqin campus in 2014—a milestone that marked the beginning of a new era for the university. In December 2024, we celebrated both the 10th anniversary of the Hengqin campus and the Ministry of Education’s approval for UM to establish a new campus in the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin, opening a new chapter in the university’s development. As the first university in Macao to extend teaching activities and establish a campus in the Cooperation Zone, UM is proud to pioneer cross‑border education, with construction progressing smoothly. Throughout its 45-year history, UM has played an important role in advancing higher education in Macao. With continued support from both the central and Macao SAR governments, the university has thrived within the unique framework of a special administrative region, distinguished by its mission, status, and education model. UM is committed to fostering an environment that places Chinese culture at its core while embracing multiculturalism. The university’s whole-person education model is underpinned by its faculties and residential colleges in an international education setup. In recent years, UM has expanded its academic offerings, strengthened research capabilities, enhanced teaching quality, and elevated its global reputation, attracting outstanding talent from around the world. Today, the university ranks among the world’s top 1% in 16 disciplines according to the Essential Science Indicators (ESI), and holds 145th place in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings, placing UM among the top 150 universities globally. As a member of the Association of University Presidents of China (C9 League+), UM continues to deepen collaboration with leading universities in China and abroad, further advancing internationalisation and academic excellence. Over the decades, UM has nurtured generations of socially responsible graduates who exhibit love for their home country and possess global perspectives and competitiveness. Through its academic achievements and contributions to society, the university continues to promote Macao’s prosperity and support national development. As we reflect on our journey, UM stands like a towering tree—rooted in Macao’s soil, drawing strength from its community, and ever reaching towards new horizons. Looking ahead, I am confident that UM will continue to flourish, reaching new milestones and writing new chapters in its proud tradition of excellence in education.

大事紀要 Milestones | 14 2006 1991 1988政府收購東亞大學並更名為澳門大學 After being acquired by the government, the University of East Asia was renamed the University of Macau. 澳門立法會通過新的《澳門大學法律 制度》，澳大實現國際化管治模式。 The Legislative Assembly of Macao passed the Juridical Regime of the University of Macau, and the university began implementing an international system of governance.
15 | 大事紀要 Milestones 2009 2009 1月，時任國家副主席習近平宣佈 中央開發橫琴島，澳大新校園項目 正式啟動。 In January, during his visit to Macao, then Vice President Xi Jinping announced the central government’s decision to develop Hengqin Island. UM’s new campus project officially kicked off. 6月27日，全國人大常委會通過澳門 特別行政區對設在橫琴島澳門大學新 校區實施管轄的議案。 On 27 June, the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress passed a resolution that authorises the Macao Special Administrative Region to exercise jurisdiction over UM’s new campus on Hengqin Island.

未來藍圖與展望 Blueprint and Vision for the Future | 32 Guided by the spirit of ‘Strive Forward and Achieve Beyond’, the University of Macau (UM) is embracing new historic opportunities for development as it celebrates its 45th anniversary. Building on its academic strengths, the university is expanding into the Guangdong‑Macao In‑Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin to deliver international higher education with Macao characteristics. Aligned with the national development blueprint, UM remains resolute in its mission and is determined to seize this pivotal moment to contribute to the needs of the country, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and the Macao SAR. Through the synergy between its two campuses, UM aims to establish a new model of coordinated development, continuously enhance educational quality, and set a pioneering example of integration between Macao and Hengqin. UM is committed to its vision of becoming an internationally recognised university of excellence. It will continue to advance internationalisation and interdisciplinary integration, nurturing outstanding graduates with global perspectives and strong competitiveness. The university will further optimise its research layout and launch high-quality research, innovation, and industry‑academia collaboration initiatives to help build a Macao-Hengqin innovation ecosystem. As an open and globally engaged institution, UM will draw on its extensive international network to attract world-class scholars and talent, enriching Macao and Hengqin with leading science and technology innovation expertise. Building on these efforts, UM aims to develop a more comprehensive academic system, expand its scale, and enhance its overall capability and impact. At the same time, the university takes pride in playing an active role in writing a new chapter in the successful practice of the ‘one country, two systems’ policy with Macao characteristics, and in advancing the national goal of building China into a global leader in education, scientific self-reliance, and Chinese-style modernisation. 興建中的澳大合作區校區將增設醫學院、 信息學院、工學院和設計學院。 新校區建築面積約83萬平方米，將容納 學生人數約10,000人。 UM’s new campus in the Cooperation Zone, which is currently under construction, will include four new faculties: Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Information Science and Computing, Faculty of Engineering, and Faculty of Design. With a building area of 830,000 square metres, the new campus will be able to accommodate 10,000 students.

It also highlights the university’s steadfast commitment to continuous innovation and progress. Looking to the future, UM will continue to prioritise academic research as its foundation, innovation as its driving force, and talent development as its core mission. As UM works to advance the internationalisation of higher education in Macao and contribute to national development, the university will develop together with Macao, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and the motherland to create a new chapter of shared success. 校慶標誌以「方、圓、三角」幾何元素構建數字「45」，融合「天圓地方」的傳統哲 思與揚帆旗幟的意象，體現澳門大學學風嚴謹、包容開放的辦學理念，演繹「篤 行致遠，奮進新程」的校慶主題。標誌還巧妙融合人面輪廓，體現澳大以人為本 的教育理念，寓意「澳大人」凝心聚力、再創新猷。 The anniversary logo features the number 45, creatively formed using geometric shapes including a square, triangle, circle, and semicircle. It reflects the traditional Chinese philosophical concept of ‘heaven is round and earth is square’ while also resembling a sailing flag, symbolising UM’s dedication to rigorous, inclusive, and open education. The design captures the anniversary theme, ‘Strive Forward and Achieve Beyond’. It also subtly includes the outline of a human face, highlighting UM’s people-centred educational philosophy and symbolising the unity and determination of UM members as they work together to achieve new milestones. 標誌 Logo 口號 Slogan 45周年校慶標誌由澳門大學藝術與設計系設計。 The 45th anniversary logo is designed by the Department of Arts and Design of the University of Macau.
