The campus tour service will be suspended during public holidays, mid-term examination period, one week before and after the final examination period (including the week), and large-scale events on campus.
Arrangements during bad weather:
Morning tours: If the Tropical Storm Warning Signal No 3 (or above); or Thunderstorm Warning Signal; or Red / Black Rainstorm Warning is issued/hoisted at 9:00am on the day of the tour, all morning tours will be cancelled automatically. Participants who have registered for these tours will need to make a new registration
Afternoon tours: If the Tropical Storm Warning Signal No 3 (or above); or Thunderstorm Warning Signal; or Red / Black Rainstorm Warning is issued/hoisted at 2:00pm on the day of the tour, all afternoon tours will be cancelled automatically. Team requirements
Currently, we only accommodate group tour requests (with at least 10 people).
We welcome the public to visit our campus. But with the campus tour service, priority is given to local primary and secondary schools as well as other educational institutions.
Registrations should be made online. We are sorry that we are unable to accommodate reservations made by phone or other means.
The organiser can entrust a travel agency to follow up with the campus tour arrangements. However, an official letter of authorisation issued by the organiser needs to be submitted to us. If any dishonest behaviour is found, subsequent applications by the same organiser will no longer be approved.
Applications from primary and secondary schools as well as other educational institutions must include a participant list and basic information about the person-in-charge and the co-organiser (if any). The information provided must be true, accurate, and effective.
On-campus requirements:
UM is a teaching and research unit. We are not a tourist attraction and do not charge any visiting fees.
The campus is divided into open areas and non-open areas. Residential colleges, staff quarters, as well as administrative, teaching and research areas are not open to visitors. Please follow the designated route under the guidance of our PRSAs. Leaving the team without permission is forbidden.
Please follow the rules and regulations of UM and obey the instructions of our working personnel during the tour. Please do not interfere with the university's normal teaching and research activities.
In the event of any disputes, the decision of the Communications Office shall be final.
